THE SERPENT AND HIS GREAT MYSTERY

The Serpent and his great mystery – 09/26/2008

All the greatest civilizations talked about the great mystery of the Serpent. A literature en vogue for several years denounces the pernicious influence of certain forces acting through anything in symbols or history that pertains to the realm of the ophidians or reptilians. Some contemporary authors even took this aspect to tie the serpent to an insidious alien influence that would have been on Earth for thousands of years. Once more, it is with the hermetic Doctrine that we are going to try to discover what hides behind the image of the serpent.

This article does not pretend to describe the whole matter in details because a book would not be enough. Only the outlines will be discussed. The Serpent, as a symbol, is found in all the mythologies of the world. We could go very far back in history, but for obvious reasons we will confine to easily identifiable historical facts. The serpent has always had a bad reputation, especially in the West and in the Middle East.

A Symbol of evil for some, it is a satanic symbol for others. Alleged incarnation of vice and treachery reptiles have been the unwarranted contempt of historical ignorance. Even today, a conspiracy literature related to Extraterrestrials leads us back to the reptilians, from which some beings (or even humankind for some) would be the descendants.

It is not a question here of borrowing the words of some of those authors who trace instances in history in which the serpent was used as a symbol in order to link it to negative beings coming from space to subjugate humanity.Thus the diversion of a symbol of light (as we shall see) into a perverse sense brings water to the mill of the deviant streams of humanity while serving their dark designs. But we will come back to that later. Other authors, most serious, bring interesting elements and we salute the rigour of their work.

The Serpent and his great mystery

It is perhaps useful to revisit certain mythologies and swathes of history in order to better understand why, to the Hermetic Doctrine, the serpent has always been a symbol of high representation for Initiates and Custodians of Knowledge. In Egyptian mythology, Kneph, the Eternal God, is portrayed by a serpent, a symbol of eternity. One can see ” the animal ” coiled around a vase filled with water upon which it blows. The serpent then takes the name of Agathodemon, the positive spirit of Nature and the Universe. In its negative aspect, it becomes Kakodemon

One should know that everything in Nature has a double aspect. To say that there is Good and Evil would retract the reality a little. In fact, as Thoth-Hermes said, there is only one Principle that exists in varying degrees. Thus a symbol (like everything else) has two poles in its own nature.

The shadow, for example, is only one aspect – at a lower vibratory level – of the light. In all things there is a positive side and a negative side. It remains to be seen which one we prefer to embrace. This law of polarity and balance of forces, of which Thoth-Hermes spoke, occurs everywhere in Nature.

It is in this positive sense that we have to see the serpent, as a symbol of eternity and immortality when it encircles the world by biting its tail. It represents the Infinity of the ancient traditions, which was associated with the Father and his negative aspects when the Old Testament was reworked.

This fabled serpent of Genesis, that serpent that deceived Eve and brought the fruit of knowledge became the satanic symbol that we know, and for some a representation of a reptilian race.

But what was it in reality? Beyond the fable and the myth we find that the Church, as did besides all Judeo-Christian currents, took advantage of the power of a symbol that reflects a very important primordial reality for the benefit of human beings and turned it into a hateful image of temptation and abomination.

Is it the Serpent (or Knowledge) that we should curse in this symbolism or that “god” who wanted that our consciousness be veiled for eternity? In fact, the Hermetic Doctrine brings us many details on this subject.

If Beings (of a great spiritual evolution) had not come to our planet at a certain period of the history of the world to bring us consciousness, if that “Serpent” which is the knowledge of Good and Evil, to borrow an allegory, did not open our eyes, what would we be?

The sons of the Serpents

It was the Fathers of the Church who deliberately occulted some texts and certain truths to make of this Serpent an aspect of evil into which humanity is sinking. It should be noted that all the genealogical table of the tenth chapter of Genesis refers to imaginary heroes, and that the verses ending the ninth are fragments of the Chaldean allegory of Sisuthrus and the mythical flood, conforming to the legend of Noah; and Seth, the third son of Adam, the father of the “chosen people”, was none other than Hermes, also known as the God of Wisdom and called Thoth, Tat or Seth.

One may wonder what was Moses’s true religion, he who inspired himself from Chaldean texts to write Genesis. Moses certainly practiced a solar religion based on the ophidian symbolism as did the Egyptians (serpent = Knowledge). Genesis was then “rewritten” by Ezra after the captivity of the Jews in Babylon, and it was at that time that the interpretation changed.

Egyptian and Babylonian hierophants were “Sons of the God – Serpent” or “Sons of the Dragon” because in the ancient mysteries the serpent represented Wisdom and immortality, the cyclic evolutionary wheel when it becomes Ouroboros i.e., the snake that bites its tail. The ancient Druids also called themselves serpents. Karnak in Egypt has the same meaning as the Carnac of Britain which means the snake mountain.

Gautama, the Buddha, was born into a line of serpents through the race of the Naga (serpent) kings who ruled Magadha. Thoth-Hermes is Tet in his symbol as a serpent (still found in the Caduceus of our pharmaceutical companies these same serpents represent the positive and negative currents at the foundation of the whole universe, which we know through the tree of life in the Kabbalah).

According to Ophite legends, Jesus was born of a serpent (divine wisdom), i.e., he became a son of God by way of his initiation into the “Science of the Serpent”; and when he was tempted by “Satan” in the desert (place where the Essenes initiates dwelled) one can surmise that he had to go through the significant probationary tests that befall every great initiate.

He recognized the serpent as a symbol of Wisdom when he said to his Apostles: “Be ye therefore wise as serpents”, (Matt. 10-16). This is unequivocal!

Vishnu, identical to the Egyptian Kneph, stands on the heavenly serpent with seven-heads, as if to show the supreme dignity of the Serpent-Wisdom. Since ancient times the serpent has been revered on the entire surface of the Earth as the representation of divine wisdom.

Sanchoniaton, the initiated priest who lived during the reign of Semiramis, claimed that Thoth-Hermes was the first to label the serpent “the most spiritual of all the reptiles”. One, of course, must see a symbol representing the wisdom that kills to better revive, destroys to better rebuild and represents the law of karma and reincarnation and, especially, the infinity and eternity when it bites its tail.

The Initiates or Nâgas

Thus it was the Judeo-Christian tradition that later made a satanic symbol of the fall out of it. This invention is due to the takeover of the pagan cults by the Church in the early days of Christianity because they hindered its expansion. But as it was said at the beginning of this article the ancients made a difference between the good and the bad serpent. The first represented the divine Wisdom and the second evil on the material plane.

Because the divine light, when it “descends” from the purely spiritual plane, becomes more and more dense and turns into Maya or the misleading, tempting serpent of illusion on our plane.

We still could give many examples of the Wisdom and Knowledge associated with the serpent. The Ophite Gnostics honoured this animal because it taught the Mysteries to the first men. It was those same Ophite Gnostics found in the Nag-Hammadi documents who denounced the God of Israel as a false god, an archon, and it is that way that one should see it.

They knew perfectly the high spiritual value of the serpent as a symbol by what it represents in its essence and physical appearance.

The Hindu and Tibetan Adepts were Nagas (serpents) who were humans and not reptiles. They were called “serpents” because they symbolized Wisdom and Knowledge. The Order of the Serpent, in antiquity, was this college of Sages whose mission was to bring the opening of consciousness to men. It was those Priests-Scientists-Astronomers who were the custodians of the hermetic Doctrine that has been transmitted for millennia.

As it has been said, the Church put an end to the cult of the serpent in its most divine form, after millennia of beliefs that had established it in its true identity. It became the symbol of malice and perversion while up to that point it was the magnificent symbol of Knowledge brought to men, the symbol of manifest consciousness, the awakening of humanity to itself.

This serpent, which by ignorance is associated to the forces of evil, is well regarded as the saviour of humanity. It never “tempted” Adam and Eve in the allegory of the earthly paradise, it simply was the awakening and awareness factor without which we would be automata caught in an endless dream today.

Reptilians and entities from outer Space

It would be irrelevant here to address the theme of beings from outer space that came to earth a very long time ago for evolution or sometimes destruction purposes. This could seem incredible if the hermetic Doctrine did not make reference to that and if history had not left us specific traces of their passage. To equate this ancient history to UFO phenomena and a reptilian invasion would distort the reality because the facts appear to be more complex and less restrictive. Earth was visited and still is by beings from more or less distant regions of space.

To say that in the antediluvian history there were different races, that is a fact that Tradition reveals. These beings came from space to redirect human evolution, this is undisputable and History, for those who have eyes to see, shows it. To say that gross beings were the result of a natural work that failed (Berossus mentioned that in his writings) is also true.

That pterodactyls, a kind of flying dragons contemporary to men, existed in distant Mu and Atlantis, this is also mentioned in the hermetic Doctrine. That beings living in the universe try to intervene on earth, this is also a reality. These beings have repeatedly come to the aid of our humanity via distant constellations.

However, to say that reptilian races shaped humanity in times relatively close to us, this seems to be a lack of knowledge of ancient history if we base ourselves on what has been transmitted for generations by the custodians of knowledge.

The Sumerian tablets relate episodes of a humanity that was much older than what they have wanted us to believe. That an “extraterrestrial” race came to bring some benefits to mankind, that is a fact found in many traditions around the globe. But these traditions point to a more distant past than the Sumerian period.

That some odious entities took part in the terrible confusion that prevailed on Earth in a very distant time this is again mentioned in the hermetic Doctrine.

This fight still wages. It is the result of the opposition between the Forces of the light and those of darkness (to use an ancient terminology), and recent history demonstrates it once more. However, with regard to what happened in the last phase of the Lemurian period one might be tempted to say that devious beings tried to establish their authority on our planet during Titanic battles.

A denatured offspring was born of their intervention. This is what in part caused the destruction of the continent of Mu several million years ago. An almost identical phenomenon occurred in Atlantis hundreds of thousands of years ago, and that also caused its downfall. We are still paying today the consequences.

Sumerian Nâguas

To believe that this story of “gods” unraveled during the Sumerian period is an anachronism in my opinion since Sumerians and Chaldeans were rooted in multi-millennial India. This story had Atlantis as cradle, a much older Atlantis that the one precisely described by Plato.

It was from India that the Nagas brought knowledge to Chaldea via Sumer. The tribes of Akkad in Chaldea, Babylonia and Assyria had a connection to the Brahmins of Hindustan more than 8,000 years ago, and the story they told these burgeoning peoples was multi-millennial and lost in the mists of time.

That some manifestations of beings from elsewhere positioned themselves at different times in the history of the world and especially in distant Lemuria, that is certain, but those they call “reptilians” act, in my opinion, in a way much more pernicious than is believed.

One should know that the stakes are high for those predators when it comes to Earth, and that is at many levels. While our planet is beset by human beings who want our loss it is also protected by others who bring us considerable assistance. To all this is added another important factor, that of those who today are called “the reptilians” or “the greys”. To present things in this manner may seem ridiculous, even insufficient and such is not the purpose of this article.

The teachings of the Nagual

However, with regard to this apparent confusion clues are given that allow us to link certain elements. In my book (Thot-Hermes – Origines secretes de l’humanite) I briefly present the work done over many years by Carlos Castaneda and particularly his master, Don Juan Matus.

This last was the last representative of a line of Toltec (thus Atlanteans) “sorcerers”. Without a doubt, it is probably in what Don Juan said to his pupil that the key to what pertains to the “reptilians” is to be found in part. Castaneda’s master called them “les planeurs”.

He said that an ancient Toltec tradition holds that they came from the depths of the cosmos a very long time ago (which fully ties with the hermetic Doctrine). Moreover, he claimed that these “planeurs” (inorganic beings) keep us under their control and added:
“They need us to feed, and this is why they pressure us tirelessly, exactly like us who raise chickens to consume. They grow us in human ‘barns’ to never run out of food.” (translated from the French text)

According to Don Juan it is these predators that have imposed upon us us our belief systems and our ideas about good and evil etc…In fact the conditions in which we have been imprisoned for millennia. They thrive on what they have no more in them i.e., consciousness.

This leads us to another question: what do these beings whom some also call “the greys “seek? They are macabre entities that feed on human emotions for the sole purpose of living.

They play on the keyboard of our human emotions to absorb this subtle aspect which they lack. They are entities that live on a very dense plane, which easily allows them to manifest physically on some occasions.

The numerous reports that exist allow us to say that they sometimes use implants on some human beings in order to one day dominate humanity. It must be said that this implant now exists in a natural way and it has been around for several million years. But we will probably have the opportunity to return to this theme later.

Thus, without going any further, we understand once more that the only way to escape this vampirism is through the evolution of consciousness. Without that, the human being can never be released from this grip. The intellectual capacity, the technical and scientific achievements and the academic culture are good things in themselves, but without man’s pugnacious WILL to regain his divine ability, without the incessant effort to open to new horizons of awakened consciousness, nothing will change.

If everyone works towards this objective, there lies salvation. Then the light that shines in each one of us on the surface of our Earth will dispel that darkness too long established in our civilization. And this light of awakened consciousnesses will be the foretold death of these entities about which Don Juan spoke and are well known to the hermetic Doctrine.

This will be the real victory of the Serpent, that is, the Sacred Science of which the Arhats, the Mahamas of the Great White Lodge, have always been the custodians. Without these beings of light, our planet would have long been annihilated.

This article, beyond the fantastic considerations, has one goal only: to show that in addition to the curiosity that one can nourish towards these subjects, each one of us ought to meditate on his personal ability for inner transformation and work on his own awakening in order to leave more room in his life to spirituality.

To focus too much on these topics – and that is more and more the taste of the day – is an indirect way to attract these negative forces we talked about. It seems that the mere awareness of the issue is sufficient to direct our efforts towards an inner work which, as it was said above, is the best way to combat these devious forces.

THE MASTERS OF WISDOM AND THE SECRETS OF HISTORY

What we know as “Academic” history is sometimes faced with strange or mysterious personages that are all enigmas for historians. Sometimes, when the truth is elusive, we make do with the official explanation which, once we scratch the little varnish on the surface, is insufficient. As a result many mysteries remain unsolved. In the last few decades a conspiracy theory has flowered on the internet and on the shelves of some bookstores.

Although most of these ideas find their justification in reality, we must however consider the issue from a more important angle. This last takes into account other, often overlooked, influences: those of the Great Masters of Wisdom Who constantly intervene in the “Affairs” of the world, in the respect of the free will of human beings but still Vigilant and Benevolent, so as to prevent the takeover of our world by perverse currents. It is for a better understanding of These Beings that this article is written.

Visible journey of the Adepts

Since Man has been upon the earth, says the Hermetic Doctrine, Beings of great evolution have endeavoured to provide this planet with the needed tools for harmonious progress. Thus, the human being has always been guided by Personages who were and are Custodians of Wisdom and our guides, without whom our world would have long been lost. Some of them are known, some are less, and others are still totally unknown to all. However, that they made themselves known in the past or whether they fulfill their mission in total discretion today, their actions are not less rich in implications for human beings.

These Masters of Wisdom were first presented as such to the world by H.P. Blavatsky in the late nineteenth century. They are also called Masters of the Great White Lodge, Adepts, Mahatmas, The Brothers of the Light. However they are named, they are here among us, benevolent in their solicitude to bring more wisdom to humans when the time is appropriate. (See this excellent article by A. Moryason.)

Real disciples

Nowadays, we can never stress this enough, there are those who, moved by an unreined enthusiasm, proclaim in some media to be the messengers of these Masters. Here again the judgment of each will make a difference when we discover the poverty of the said messages allegedly sent by those “entities” that come straight from the proclaimant’s imagination, or are the expression of a modern spiritualism (see Article: Channeling and illusions of the New Age).

These aberrations do not include of course, in any way, the sincere disciples duly chosen to come in contact with Them via a telepathic transmission or a physical meeting. This was the case of H.P. Blavatsky and later Alice A. Bailey who transmitted some extraordinary teachings under their authority. Many other disciples performed this role in the past and some even do so today.

These Mastersof wisdom, the Adepts, known to live in a region beyond the Himalayas, have always been here to guide Man in his evolution, with constant respect for his free will. As I said in other articles (see 2012 – The Mayan prophecy) They are the Custodians of the Hermetic doctrine, that is, the Sacred Knowledge known by the greatest Initiates of all times.

Some individuals, with a liking for doom-mongering, omit to mention – especially in the difficult times we live in – that these Beings of Wisdom are always present in our world, because of their love for humanity and to help us fight the opposing forces seeking to stifle the light since the dawn of time.

Their wisdom is immense and their evolution is extraordinary. They are perfect Masters to us, but as such there is no demand for any devotion, cult or worship on their part. Instead, their humility is only equaled by their silence and their discretion. They demand nothing for themselves and only seek to provide succor and aid to humanity in total discretion and in the application of the Universal Laws.

The Great Plan

That is why this article, although modestly, seeks to honor them since the attention is too often given to those who are falsely called the Illuminati, so much it is true that these devious forces attract more by the dramatic and obnoxious side that they present. That cannot be said of the Great White Lodge.

Masters willfully shroud themselves in silence, encouraging everyone to make the effort to find the spiritual path. However, over the centuries and millennia, they have intervened and always intervene in the course of history not only to assert the universal values of Life, Love and Light, but also to prevent many planetary dramas that would have annihilated all consciousness on this Earth a long time ago.

Some of Them are now known since the nineteenth century: The Mahatmas Koot-Humi, Morya, Saint Germain, Hilarion, the Venetian Master… Each intervened in a period of history to influence certain currents which, without their interference, would have led humanity to very serious problems. I must say that these interventions can sometimes seem surprising and the Grand Plan of the Adepts escapes most people.

A Master will often take the curious decision of the creation of a movement for example. This will be countered (apparently) by another movement, quite opposite, created soon after by another Master. These “quirks” to our eyes are no less than the careful implementation of a plan skillfully put in place to allow Them to:

1- Leave free will to humans
2- Not intervene directly to allow the karmic law to take effect
3- Act within a specific framework based on human and planetary cycles

With the examples that follow, we will now draw a quick outline of their main manifestations, or those of some of their disciples, in the history of the last few centuries.

The hidden history

In The key of Theosophy H.P Blavbatsky says :

“But I must tell you that during the last quarter of every hundred years an attempt is made by those “Masters,” of whom I have spoken, to help on the spiritual progress of Humanity in a marked and definite way. Towards the close of each century you will invariably find that an outpouring or upheaval of spirituality — or call it mysticism if you prefer — has taken place. Some one or more persons have appeared in the world as their agents, and a greater or less amount of occult knowledge and teaching has been given out. If you care to do so, you can trace these movements back, century by century, as far as our detailed historical records extend…”

This clarification is important because it tells us that These Great Souls of the Great Transhimalayan Lodge manifest regularly to bring new teachings in order to help humanity progress in its spiritual evolution. This is precisely what happened in the late nineteenth century with the fundamental contribution to Teachings through H.P. Blavatsky’s monumental work: The Secret Doctrine (6 volumes), which was drafted with the help of the Masters.

There were yet other attempts, guided also by the Great White Lodge, which occurred in the early twentieth century with Alice A. Bailey’s books, and in the late twentieth century with the spread of the teachings of Franz Bardon, an other Master of wisdom. Bardon himself, as an Adept, penned the three essentially practical volumes on operative Theurgy, thereby disclosing an essential and fundamental element of the Hermetic Doctrine.

Given the cyclical changes in the last century a large amount of fundamental teachings was offered to humanity. Everyone, beyond the vitriolic criticisms or the paeans of praise that those teachings arouse in the public, can form an opinion by experimenting in private the benefits of such a practice.

History, as far as we could go back in time, is marked by fairly significant interventions of These Adepts who, in addition to providing teachings at specific times, always act by Themselves or through Their disciples by important people of the world to influence the course of events and prevent certain dangers. They also act upon a particular period in order to help humanity move forward along a particular path, in order to reap a greater benefit.

During the Middle Ages

The story of the marriage of Philip II Philip Augustus (1165-1223), Seventh King of France of the Capetian dynasty, with Princess Ingeborg of Denmark remains a puzzle for historians. Even today, no one understands why the monarch persisted in rejecting the poor Danish princess the day after the wedding. All motives were evoked but no one really discovered the truth.

The hidden history tells us that having just been crowned king, Philip made a strange encounter in the forest during a hunt. It was a monk, “inspired or commissioned,” who told him about specific events of his future, his reign and the negative implications for the kingdom if a particular sign appeared in his life. The warning must have overwhelmed him for he came out of this contact very troubled.

On his wedding night with Ingeborg he saw that she bore a mark on her breast, the same one foretold as a sign by the monk. Upon seeing this, the King was filled with terror and could not approach her. He had her dressed and locked away in a convent. Whenever one would talk to him about this unfortunate Queen (unconscious to have been marked by fate with these dark effluvia aimed at destroying the king and the throne), he became pale as death.

The church hierarchy did not know all this; it remained in its eternal “exotericism”. The pope threatened to excommunicate the king if he did not take the Danish queen back. Only an inspired monk and the king knew what the kingdom had been spared. We will never know.

The Templars

When the year 1314 ended, shock ran throughout Europe: Philip the Fair, King of France, had the Templars executed and their order disbanded. Even today, all historians agree that this was an injustice. In my book (Thoth-Hermes – The secret origins of Mankind, Editions Moryason), I devote an entire chapter to what was considered a massacre in that dark night on the Ile des Juifs in Paris, where Jacques de Molay, Grand Master of the Order, was burnt alive at the stake with some of his companions in misfortune.

What still surprises was the relentlessness of King Philip in wanting the eradication of the Templars at any cost. To achieve his goals he relied on the church to dissolve the Order, even though he disliked this authority. He destroyed them with unusual fury, chasing them across Europe and not only in his own territory (which would have been sufficient if he had wanted to seize their wealth and undermine a troublesome power).

Why did he act this way? France is one peculiar country, and some even say that it benefits from a special Divine protection that dates back to the origins of the monarchy. Did not Apollonius of Tyana bury a precious stone of protection in an area that would become Lutece and later Paris? The times of Philip the Fair were important for France. It was then that feudalism was dealt a death blow by the king who tried to restore the concept of the rule of law (the famous Legists) of the Romans.

This notion was lost in the dark night of Europe after the fall of the Empire in the West.The stakes were high and the forces of darkness had the sole purpose of seeing France and its people petrify in feudal sleep so they can implement their evil plans.It was not the first time these harmful currents tried to dissolve the nascent French Kingdom.

Philip was warned in secret by an Initiate who managed to convince him that the Knights Templar, once so brave and noble, had been shorted and infiltrated by evil forces during their stay in Palestine by the order of the Assassins. The Templars were a formidable power for both the Kingdom of France and the Church. These monk soldiers were infiltrated at the heart of their assemblies and they did not know it.

Even Jacques de Molay was unaware that a negative grip was tightening around his organization. If Philip the Fair had not intervened, the order of the Temple would have been the armed wing of the Dark Orders in the West and history would be completely different from what we now know. The king knew, he was warned and he had to act accordingly, even with the risk of being a bloodthirsty murderer in the eyes of history.

It is thanks to these Masters of the Transhimalayan Lodge that France escaped the pernicious infiltration of Ismaili currents directed by the Order of the Assassins in Europe. If the halt was not given the worm would have completely infiltrated the Order of the Temple and the whole of Europe would have been dominated by the Dark Forces.

The Great Mongol

Akbar (1542 – 1605) ruled the Mongol Empire from 1556 until 1605. He is generally regarded as the Great Mongol. We know how much the influence he had over his people was important. He displayed great talent as an administrator and was very passionate about justice. What characterized him was his tolerance in matters of religion. His wife was even a Hindu princess. He also welcomed Hindus in his army and administration, which lead to significant alliances with Rajput kingdoms.

Although born a Muslim he rejected the divine origin of the Quran and declared himself a friend of the arts and sciences as well as a staunch defender of all faiths. He invited representatives of major religions to discuss religious matters with him. That led him in 1581 to develop a religion of light, which was a sort of syncretism of Islam, Christianity and Jainism, wishing to make it a state religion that would unify his vast empire.

What is less known is that Akbar was overshadowed, (1) for a certain time of his life, by the Master Morya himself, allowing him to lead the country to a considerable progress for the society of that time. Akbar was not the Mahatma Morya but the influence the latter exerted over him made it possible to avoid many bloody conflicts that would have greatly affected the politics of that region.

(1) -The overshadowing is done by the Adepts when They want to act in the world through individuals who have an important role in society. They stand close to that person and with his consent inspires completely his mind and even his psyche making it more powerful and more creative. The Great Mongol was not the Master Morya but he enjoyed a period of his constant inspiration. (On this subject see the article by A. Moryason) Other influential figures in the world of science and the arts were also overshadowed by Other Adepts to intervene in the world and avoid many disasters in politics or society. Thus, Robert Fludd, Nostradamus, Francis Bacon were overshadowed by He who was known as the Count of St. Germain and later Franz Bardon.

Under the white panach

Henry IV (1553 – 1610) was the good king of the French par excellence. Very humane, he tried to reconcile many things in France which was torn by wars and wars of religion. With the Edict of Nantes he succeeded in calming the murderous intentions of Catholics and Protestants. But Henry had in mind the development of a Great Design which his minister Sully supported as well.

The Great Design is defined by the will to unify, in a way, the Kingdoms of Europe in order to end wars and conflicts of interest. But then, this is when his allies asked Henry IV for help (the opportunity was very good to become the leader of an emerging Europe) that he was murdered. What would have happened if Europe was formed at that time according to the specifics of the Great Design devised by the king?

Indeed, a few years earlier, Henri IV was contacted in secret by a prominent member of the Rose Cross (Secret Order to which only the Adepts of the Great Transhimalayan Lodge can belong). We must also say that it was at that time that this Order came into the open through the famous Fama Fraternitatis. There is a lack of Historical documents to indicate who met the King in order to formulate this great European plan.

We know that in the Béarnaise family of Henri IV contacts had already been made for several generations with members of the Rose Cross (not to be confused with the Rosicrucians and the different movements to which they are linked).

Who was the mysterious adviser to the king who sought to assist in the building of Europe? Who was it but a Messenger of the famous Brotherhood of Adepts which we have already mentioned? Henri IV was ready for such reforms, but as always opposing “forces” try to thwart the plans and aids of the “Brothers of the Light.” Henry failed in part because he was murdered before carrying out his project.

Was it the one who will later be known as the Count of Saint Germain who advised the king? Was it one of His disciples? This is quite possible since Saint Germain fulfilled this same European mission in a different way (it was no longer a matter of building Europe but of alleviating some conflicts to come) with Louis XV and Louis XVI, but we know that this last did not listen to the Adept’s valuable advices … What would the world be today if Henry had carried out his plans?

The aids rejected

Charles XII of Sweden (1682-1718). Many monarchs or important political figures were contacted, as we have seen, by Adepts or Their disciples to prevent some tragedies or problems in the countries in which they operated. Remember that these Beings offer this providential help or advice but do not impose. With few exceptions these warnings were not welcomed. Charles XII was a mighty king and conqueror.

He first attacked the Danes, laid siege to Copenhagen and forced Frederick to sign a peace treaty. Then, after crushing the Poles, he turned against Russia and defeated it in a landslide. After this battle, he ran to attack Augustus, King of Poland, and made himself master of that country.

He was not, however, done with Russia. It was then that he received advice from an Adept who introduced himself by giving him a serious warning about the coming war, asking him not to wage it under penalty of suffering a great delay in the development of his country. The king did not heed this warning. The war took place, the Swedes were crushed, and Charles XII was forced to flee to the Ottoman Empire, where he remained for five years.

When he returned things were not the same. His greatness had declined and when he died his country was no longer one of the major powers. The face of Europe would certainly have changed if pride had not taken over Wisdom and if expert advice had been followed.

“After me the deluge”

King Louis XV welcomed with friendship the Adept who at that time took the name of Count of Saint Germain. In the annals of the history of France it is the only time a Member of the White Brotherhood manifested so openly without hiding his membership. An extensive literature (See: The Count of Saint Germain by Paul Chacornac) reported on the Work done by Saint Germain (photo below) in the king’s court.

It is known that Louis XV took the counsels of the Count and that led at least to some important reforms in France. But Louis XV was also subjected to the influence of his shadowy minister Maurepas, a conscious member of the Dark Forces, who did everything possible to oust Saint Germain and even attempted to kill him. One should read the many anecdotes about these adventures.

The Count did his best to edify the King on the steps to take, but Louis XV, although very open, could not overstep certain boundaries. In any case, thanks to the Adept the chaos was averted despite the virulent attacks from the Black Lodges and Maurepas. However, Louis XV was warned that these reforms ought to be intensified; but he knew that the monarchy was doomed. That is why one day he uttered a misunderstood phrase that made all its sense in the light of what Saint Germain revealed to him: “After me the deluge”.

The History of France had its finest and most dramatic pages written during the reign of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette. Again the Count of Saint Germain (Master of wisdom) intervened several times by the monarchs, knowing that France was about to enter the Terror. The Countess of Adémar, lady in waiting of the queen, wrote in her diary that the Count tried repeatedly to convince Marie Antoinette.

Whether his messages were sent via letters or delivered in arranged meetings, they all stressed that the country’s royal family and several other people were in danger. However, these admonitions were considered offensive and in bad faith. The count was persecuted and escaped several deadly plots. More than once he risked the Bastille. The refusal of the queen resulted in the tragedy that we know.

The bee and the eagle

Napoleon Bonaparte had a dazzling destiny. Since his days as a young officer he was very interested in the secret societies and was a member of several. In his well-researched book,” The Red Man of the Tuileries”, Pierre Christian speaks of the contacts Bonaparte had with Bonaventure Guyon, enigmatic man, astrologer and an accomplished magician. Very young, the man who would stamp world history with his name was aware of his fabulous destiny, revealed by this enigmatic man in Christian’s book.

The emperor’s reign was marked by esoteric symbolism, if only because of his attachment to the symbols of the bee and the eagle. He, as well, received repeated advice from certain persons mandated by the Great White Brotherhood.

He did not heed the warnings given to him and even leaned towards the sinister side of the Order of the Illuminati of Bavaria, of which the execrable Adam Weishaupt was the grand master.

At the end of his career, the emperor refused to listen to the advices of the Adepts altogether and violated an important clause by invading Russia. The Retreat from Russia was a deplorable carnage that only the talent of Victor Hugo tinged with poetic glory.

The creation of the United States of America

In her Letters, Helena Roerich, wife of the painter and Initiate Nicholas K. Roerich, refers to a curious personage who assiduously saw George Washington. She tells us:

We also know that Washington was advised by a mysterious professor, whose counsel he applied in life with historic success. At the time of America’s Declaration of Independence, when preparing to separate from England, a remarkable incident took place. During the proceedings at this historic convention there came a moment of hesitation and uncertainty. Suddenly, a tall stranger stepped out from amid the Assembly and delivered a fiery speech, which he ended with the words “Let America be free!” The enthusiasm of the Assembly was kindled, and the Declaration of Independence was signed. But when the delegates sought to greet the person who had helped them to make the great decision, the stranger had disappeared. Thus, through the whole of history is seen the Helping Hand of the Great Community of Light.

In the light of these small parts of hidden history, a message is given. The Masters of Wisdom, the Adepts who have reached the highest stage of human evolution (Bardon’s photo-opposite) in our present cycle of expression, are Present among us, although Silent, in the face of the problems humanity has to endure. In this sense the human beings, trapped in the confinement of their ego, are never alone, and always These Custodians of Knowledge are present to prevent that too great a disaster befall the Earth.

We tend to speak nowadays of the Dark Forces on our planet, the Illuminati, since the sensational draws crowds. This power, indeed, is very real but that does not mean that the Masters of Wisdom are overwhelmed by these harmful currents. Rather, they keep watch because, as stated above, Man’s free will, the individual and planetary karmas must hold sway and the Adepts of the Brotherhood of the Light in no way can and wish to intervene and go against the Law.

They are here to guide us and open the way. They have manifested many times in our history in order to “limit the damage”. They are still here today and their disciples work with them in order to offer an alternative of evolution in consciousness to all beings of goodwill when the time comes.

THE BAMIYAN BUDDHAS AND THE DARK FORCES

The Bamiyan Buddhas and the dark forces. Who nowdays, remember the Bamiyan buddhas ? A harbinger of serious events to come, this cultural catastrophe did not particularly attract the world’s attention in March 2001.Television and the world press did speak about it but public opinion did not take notice. However, with the destruction of the Bamiyan Buddhas in Afghanistan, the Taliban have robbed the world of a key witness to the history of mankind. That month of March 2001 was in fact the starting point of a conflict of which we barely see the outlines.

The history

Nestledin the Bamiyan valley about 230 kilometers North-West of Kabul, Afghanistan, two monumental Buddha statues – respectively 52m and 35m in height, andlodged in two niches on the face of the mountain- toweredover the region until March 2001. Because of the beauty of these sculpted works and their history, UNESCO declared them aWorld Heritage Site. According to archaeologists these strange statues were made between the V and VI century A.D. in a mixture Greek and Buddhist art, but they were actually older than that.

Originally carved out on the sand stone cliff, they were thereafter coated with straw, mud and finally stucco in order to highlight the details of their painted clothes as well as the faceswhich certainly had to wear a mask of wood or metal. It is even said that originally the Buddhas were adorned with gold and precious jewels. All this partly disappeared with time…

Bamiyan was a major center of Buddhism until the second century, and many pilgrims of the time stopped at that very well-known site since it was located on the Silk Road between India and China. One can imagine the rich caravans of travelers and merchants passing through Bamiyan and walking away marveled at this religious center populated by monks and hermits living in caves dug in the face of the mountain across the valley.

Many Buddha statues were visible at that time, and based on the rare, barely visible wall paintings, one can still imaginethe colorful frescoes adorning the caves and the grottos against which leaned the monumental statues. In 632, the Chinese chroniclerXuanzang reported that this center harboured a dozen monasteries which housed more than a thousand monks.

When Islam came to the region Buddhist activity was reduced and theBuddhas narrowly escaped destruction, which did not stop Genghis Khan from plundering and destroying the city of Bamiyan in 1222. Over time the Muslims began a work of destruction on these statues, the same carried out by the Mamluks on the Sphinx of Giza which lost its nose under volleys of artillery.

The cannon shots were unfortunately more devastating in Bamiyan since the faces were completely destroyed in the sixteenth century thanks to the fervently religious Mongol leader Aurangzeb who strove to deteriorate these sculptures and other precious ones in Hindu temples inVaranasi,Ayaodhyâ and Mathura in India. Once again, Humanity lost a considerable heritage. The modern period did not help much the case since after enduring such deep wounds, the region still suffered from the Russian and above all the Taliban’s occupation.

A legacy of the antediluvian humanity

What did these statues really represent? The Buddhist Initiates who lived in Bamiyanat the beginning of our era certainly knew the significance of these stone-carved figures. The Hermetic Teachings claim that these Buddhaswere mirror images of beings living in other, very ancient cycles of humanity, dating back millions of years. Moreover, Helena P. Blavatsky, according to information received from the Adepts spoke in these terms:

But the five statues are the handiwork of the Initiates of the Fourth Race (Atlantis), whosought refuge,after the submersion of their continent, in the fastnesses and on the summits of the central Asian mountain chains. Moreover,these five statues are an imperishable record of the esoteric teaching about the gradual evolution of the races.(H.P Blavatsky – Secret Doctrine – Book II, pp 339.)

In fact, as so aptly pointed out by HP Blavatsky, these statues were representatives of the four races that preceded ours, during the long cycles of time (manvantara) flowing over millions of years. The first of the statues, the tallest (52 meters high),represented the first race that existed on earth tens of millions of years ago. Its dimensions are exactly those of the men of that time living in a different (more ethereal) Earth environmentthan the one that we know today.

The second of these statues, by size, represented the second race that lived on the planet millions of years later and it measured 35 meters in height. This decrease in stature is justified by the slow solidification of the Earth’s environment over time. Followed the other races like the third (Lemuria) and the fourth (Atlantis) which were yet much smaller (albeit gigantic for us) to reach with our fifth race the size that we have today with its inception some tens of thousands of years ago.

When the Buddhist hermits discovered these statues as they settled in Bamiyan they stood five in number, representing the five major races that populated the Earth for countless ages, as it has just been said. They smeared plaster over three of them (to give them the appearance of Buddhas) and sculpted others to represent the Buddha to come in the Buddhist canon. These five statues were in fact the work of Initiates of the Atlantean race who found refuge in the highlands of Central Asiaafter the submersion of their continent.

To the future generations they left these monuments as evidence of the millennial history of races that lived on our planet. As everything disappeared inAtlantis during the various cataclysms – 800,000 – 200 000 – 80,000 – 9564 years B.C. – the survivors decided to leave a trace of the human history, without which nothing would have survived of the glorious Atlantis.

The Bamiyan Buddhas and the dark forces

Before their destruction in 2001 only two of these statues remained, the others were destroyed over time because of their smaller size and the vandalism always caused by the rage of men. For hundreds of years traveling merchants and explorers saw in these stone giants the homage paid to the Buddha.

They did not know how much these works of art, in a silent language,told something else,i.e., the turbulent history of Man on Earth which reached us thanks to these Initiates, those Adepts who have disclosed an immense knowledge to our suffering humanity since the end of the nineteenth century.

Thus in March 2001, thousands of years after they were carved by the Atlanteans, the stone giants of Bamiyansent out a final message to mankind. As always the famous battle against the dark forces took a tangible form before the stupefied eyes of the whole world.

Since the last war (1939 – 1945) these vile forces had not really manifested openly. Now it was this part of the world that would stage the announcement of a more insidious war.

The statues weredeclared idolatrous by Mullah Mohammed Omar. His henchmen, the Taliban, destroyed themwith explosives and gunfire. Two gigantic statues that had stood over the region for thousands of years disappeared after a month of heavy bombardment, causing great emotion in stunned viewers worldwide

The statues will never be rebuilt; UNESCO did not judge the project a priority. However,a third “Buddha”, a reclining Buddha in Parinirvana, which the chroniclerXuanzangdescribedand is believed to be buried somewhere in the valley, will probably be the object of latersearches.

The Lion of Panjshir

This month of March 2001 saw the end of ‘ the Buddhas of Bamiyan’, but the conflict was just beginning. The Taliban had become masters of the region and they strove to eradicate the slightest traces of the past as do, besides, all groups seeking the disintegration of the planet. This perspective is always verified in history, if we are to judge by those who deliberately try to erase history to impose their ideas.

Not far away, in the Panjshir Valley, a man was engaged body and soul in a fight of which he knew perfectly what was at stake. He was to be the second martyr in this relentless war waged by the dark forces in this region of Afghanistan. In the plan devised by Al Qaeda he was the nuisance, the bastion that had to be destroyed.

A few months later, exactly on September 9, 2001, the onecalled the Lion of Panjshir,Commander Ahmad Shah Massoud, was to die in his headquarters after receiving two suicide pseudo-journalists who came to interview him with a camera full of explosives. Two days later the attack against the twin towers of the World Trade Center embroiledhumanity in a new struggle.

These two key events: the destruction of the Buddhas and the assassination of Massoud were thus the prelude to the terroristwar against the world. On a symbolic level, the destruction of the Atlantean giants had a profound meaning, although the Taliban manipulated by other, even darker forces, certainly did not know the significance.

Indeed, the battle of the Sons of the Light against the sons of Belial has its origins in the mists of time, specificallyduring the struggle that split humanity into two opposing camps at that distant time in Atlantis. This caused the fall of the continent and somehow the stagnation of humanity in the chaos which we are still paying today the heavy karma.

The destruction of the symbol, the giants ofBamiyan, was a clear signfrom the forces of darkness. They wanted to line themselves in the continuity of the horribleAtlanteannight which set off, in that distant past, the long period of spiritual obscurantism that we still know today. To destroy these giants was to destroy the last vestiges of Atlantis. Of course, the Taliban, blinded and manipulated, had no awareness of the dark intentions hiding behind this heinous act.

Commander Massoud, meanwhile, represented the annoying pillarof the Northern Alliance which was blocking their perfidious strategy in the region as would have done Benazir Bhutto, in a different way and to a different extent,if she had not, as well, suffered a fatal attack. This particular region of the world is a challenge for these forces which, in the past,pursued the same goals with Hassan Ibn Sabbah, grandmaster and founder of the Order of the Assassins. Since September 11, 2001 a new world order has been established on our planet.

The destruction of the giants was the first visible sign (although unnoticed) of the offensive of these shadowy groups. The choice of Bamiyan was not left to chance. The consequences of the battlehave just begun to take shape, and once again only a growing awarenessin people through spiritual opening will allow this multi-millennial evil to finally disappear.
